Dr. Dyer is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and an Adjunct Associate Investigator at the Versiti Blood Research Institute (VBRI) in Milwaukee, WI. He joined MCW and VBRI in September 2022 after completing his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. During his general surgery residency Dr. Dyer spent three dedicated research years investigating platelet dysfunction following trauma and the contributions to trauma-induced coagulopathy and post-traumatic thrombotic complications. Additionally, during this time he obtained a master's degree in clinical research. He is currently building a basic science laboratory focused on understanding the regulation and mechanisms of thromboinflammation in acute and chronic venous and arterial thrombotic disease processes.
