A native of Massachusetts, earned his medical degree for Boston University before completing a general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Cornell University and Columbia Medical Center. Joined the division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts in 2012 and is a Professor of Surgery. Treats all aspects of Vascular Surgery from open to advanced endovascular surgery with a diverse patient population. Actively involved in resident education and mentorship and has coauthored over 50 articles and given more than 60 invited and national lectures. Recipient of the SVS/ACS Health Policy in Leadership scholarship and went on to earn an MBA from Brandeis University. Integrally involved with both revenue enhancement and quality metrics. Curently serves as the Senior Medical Director and Vice Presidnet of the UMass Memeorial Medical Group, Chief Medical Officer for Revenue Management and Associate Chief Quality Officer for UMass Memorial Health. Also serves on the Board for the UMass Memorial ACO and active member of the UMass Memorial Commonwealth Professional Assurance Company.
