Ross Milner, M.D., is a Professor of Surgery at The University of Chicago, Vice-Chair of Clinical and Peri-operative services, and Co-Director for the Center of Aortic Diseases. He is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of complex aortic aneurysmal disease and endograft surveillance paradigms and has been a leader in training other physicians in these areas.
Dr. Milner completed a general surgery residency and fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As the Marco Polo Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery at University Medical Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Dr. Milner investigated the value of remote pressure sensing for EVAR surveillance. Before joining the faculty at the Pritzker School of Medicine in 2012, Dr. Milner served at Emory University School of Medicine and at Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine.
Dr. Milner has been the primary investigator on numerous endovascular device trials and currently serves as the co-national principal investigator for the GREAT registry. He has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed journal articles and many book chapters. A frequent speaker, Dr. Milner has delivered invited lectures at more than 200 conferences and symposia in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
A dedicated educator and mentor, he has received numerous awards for his teaching and has been recognized as the first master clinician of the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence. He is also a reviewer for many journals as well as an editorial board member. He is Editor-in-Chief of Vascular.
