Dr. Fanny S. Alie-Cusson is an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery and Associate Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program at Atrium Health – Carolinas Medical Center. She was formerly an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of PIttsburgh/UPMC. She completed her medical education and general surgery residency at the University of Montreal in Montreal, Canada. She then completed her vascular surgery fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. She is currently completing a Masters of Science in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of multiple surgical societies, including the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery through which she has been participating in yearly Mock Oral examinations for graduating trainees. In addition, she is a member of the American Board of Surgery writing committee for the Vascular Surgery In-Training Examination (VSITE). She is focused on clinical outcomes research with a specific interest in pulmonary embolism, aortic emergencies and complex aortic surgery.
