Dr. Pamela EL Hayek is a medical professional with a deep commitment to advancing healthcare in her home country, Lebanon. She earned her Medical Degree from the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut, where she demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to clinical research. During her time at LAU, Dr. EL Hayek participated in community health initiatives, providing medical care to underserved populations in Lebanon.
Following her graduation, Dr. EL Hayek completed a research year at LAU, focusing on projects with significant implications for improving surgical practices within Lebanon. Her research aimed to address specific medical needs in the Lebanese community.
Currently, Dr. EL Hayek is a Research Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Division of Vascular Surgery. At UPMC, she continues to engage in advanced research projects with potential benefits for vascular surgery practices worldwide. Her research focuses on innovative surgical techniques, the development of minimally invasive procedures, and the application of new technologies in vascular surgery.
Dr. EL Hayek is an aspiring surgeon-scientist with a goal to bring her expertise and knowledge back to Lebanon, where she is eager to contribute to the development of the country's healthcare system.
