Calvin L. Chao, MD is a 5th year vascular surgery resident at Northwestern University. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Chicago and attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts. He is currently enrolled in a mentored-research NRSA postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern working in the Jiang Lab, focusing on the convergence of vascular surgery and biomedical engineering. His research interests include regenerative therapies for aortic aneurysm, role of sympathetic innervation in vascular remodeling, enhanced recovery pathways for vascular surgery, and medical education.
