Integrated Vascular Surgery Resident
University of California, Davis
Sacramento, California
Current PGY 5 integrated vascular surgery resident at the University of California, Davis. A Louisiana native, I completed my undergraduate degree in classical languages at Loyola University before matriculating to Louisiana State University School of Public Health, where I completed an MPH. With a background in epidemiology and a long history of service to underserved populations, I am interested research that allows me to identify and quantitatively describe the impact of disparities on access to care. My early research, when working with the Louisiana Office of Public Health STD/HIV Prevention program and writing my graduate thesis, involved efforts to describe access to free or low cost testing to stem further spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Since graduating from the master’s program and subsequently medical school, my interests have been similarly directed towards improving outcomes in vascular disease through improved access to care.
