Leanne Grafmuller was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she studied bioengineering and Hispanic studies. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2009, she began her career as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, supporting the development of novel, small molecule drug therapies. After six years of life science research and industry experience, she matriculated at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse to pursue her true passion, medicine. She is now a PGY-4 Integrated Vascular Surgery resident at the University of Rochester.
