Richard T. Rogers, M.D. grew up in Tattnall County, GA. He went to college at Georgia Southern University where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. After college he spent two years doing basic science research at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Rogers received his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA where he graduated magna cum laude. He is currently a chief general surgery resident and incoming vascular surgery fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society(AOA), American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Vascular Surgery. His research interests include outcomes research, prevention and treatment of vascular graft infection, mesenteric ischemia, and complex aortic aneurysmal repair. In his free time, he enjoys playing team sports and spending time with his wife and son, Natali and Simon. After fellowship Dr. Rogers wants to remain in academic vascular surgery.
