Eric K. Peden, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1993. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center & a subsequent vascular surgery fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Peden also went on to do an additional Endovascular Fellowship at Texas Tech.
In July 1999, Dr. Peden accepted a position as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 2004, Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine. In May 2007, Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Methodist DeBakey Heart &Vascular Center & was subsequently named Chief of Vascular Surgery in 2008.
Prior to joining Methodist as an Assistant Professor in 2006, Dr. Peden was an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at BCM. In 2008 he was appointed Chief of Vascular Surgery at the Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, Houston Methodist Hospital Houston. In June of 2017, Dr. Peden accepted the position of Program Director of the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency and the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Programs.
Dr. Peden’s clinical expertise is in limb salvage, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Dialysis Access, Aortic Disease Management, Aneurysms, Varicose Vein Treatment, & Visceral Revascularization. Dr. Peden also focuses time to research including Dialysis Access, Arterial Occlusive & Aneurismal Disease Advancement, & Advanced Venous Disease.
