Dr. Kaitlin Carrato is an Interventional Radiologist at VIR Chicago based out of Hinsdale, IL. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her General Surgery internship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center as part of the Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR) residency program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She served as Chief Resident for the Interventional Radiology program. Her areas of interest include interventional oncology, women's health, uterine artery embolization, portal hypertension, interventional pain management, venous disease, among other areas of IR.
