Matthew A. Corriere MD, MS is currently transitioning to the role of Director for the Division of Vacscular Surgery at THE Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he will also become Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program effective May 1st, 2024.
Dr. Corriere’s clinical practice includes treatment of aortic, carotid, mesenteric, renal, and peripheral artery disease. He is member of the American Heart Association Peripheral Vascular Disease Council, the Society for Vascular Surgery Conflict of Interest and Professionalism Committee, the Society for Vascular Surgery audit committee, and the advisory board for the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures. He is an examiner for the American Board of Surgery Vascular Surgery certifying examination, and also serves on the US FDA Medical Devices Advisory Committee as a Circulatory Systems Devices Panelist.
Dr. Corriere’s research focuses on survey-based patient preference elicitation, patient-doctor communication, risk stratification, and integration of clinical and patient-centered outcomes. He serves as a Scientist Reviewer for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute and has co-authored clinical practice guidelines and scientific statements for the American Heart Association, the Society for Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular & Endovasscular Surgery Society. He has received research support from the American Heart Association, the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures, the Society for Vascular Surgery Foundation, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society, the United States Food and Drug Administration, the Frankel Cardiovascular Center Innovation Challenge, the University of Michigan Impact Accelerator Program, and the University of Michigan MCubed program.
