Nitin Jethmalani is a general surgery resident at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medicine, currently serving as a research fellow in the Division of Vascular Surgery. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2020 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Tufts University in 2016, where he was honored Magna Cum Laude.
Through medical school, Dr. Jethmalani recieved multiple honors including the Martin J. Loeb Memorial Prize in Surgery in 2020, and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and Honos Civicus Society in 2019, recognizing his academic performance, professionalism, and commitment to community service. His dedication to medical science extends into research, where he has made significant contributions to cardiovascular and infectious disease studies during his research at Tufts Medical Center.
Through the first year of researach at Weill Cornell, Dr. Jethmalani has taken an interest in clinical outcomes research both at an instituional and national level, specifically using the VQI database. His work incldues projects on peripheral arterial disease, aneurysm repair, spinal exposures, and lower extremity amputation.
